Our trip to Norway was our very first experience with a VW California.
We were not too sure what to expect about traveling in a van and about exploring Norway, except being surrounded by beautiful nature.
We fell in love with both Norway and the Van experience.
Exploring Norway in a rolling home.
We love road trips because we see the landscapes changing as we drive. Every morning is a new adventure, waking up to yet another scenery. The van life sounded as a perfect way to explore Norway.
Hop on and enjoy the ride!
Who has never heard of the famous pulpit rock?! It’s a steep two hours hike but the breathtaking view on the Lysefjord is definitely worth it.
Do some climbing to enjoy the view on the Pulpit Rock with the Lysefjord unfolding in front of your eyes…
On the Hardangervidda plateau we finally met the sun….
Turn any place into a room with a view.
Go with the flow…
Lake Vangsvatnet near Voss. Chose your ride!
We were lucky enough to hit the Gamle Strynefjellsvegen touristic road the second after its opening.
Enjoy the view!
Jump on the ferry to get to the next Fjord.
Rollercoaster mode ON at Knuten
Dalsnibba: Breathkating view over the Geiranger Fjord.
Sunny days in Norway…kind of.
The Jostedalsbreen glacier.
The Sognefjellet Touristic road takes you up to 1’400m above sea level.
You can’t really visit the Fjords without a stop at the Trollstigen.
Between Dombås and Lillehammer we were charmed by the wonderful scenery on the Jotunheimvegen.
Lakes and forests as far as you can see…
Alnes Fyr: a small pearl by the end of the road.
Muskox safari in Dovrefjell.
We played Hide & Seek with the Muskoxes for 4 hours.
And we finally met those beautiful animals out there in the wild.
The last night in Norway before going home…
We had this romantic idea about spending our nights outside by the open fire, talking, eating and hitting some chords on the guitar. But Norway decided to show its grey and rainy side most of the trip. Despite the weather conditions, we enjoyed every single moment. The landscape is so fantastic and offers you new, magnificent sceneries around every corner making you forget that the sun decided not to shine.
